The USS Florida is an Ohio-class cruise missile submarine, commissioned with the hull designation of SSBN-728. The contract to build her was awarded to the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics Corporation in Groton, Connecticut in 1975. The boat was launched in 1981 and commissioned in 1983, with both crews successfully completing demonstration and shakedown operations, including the successful launch of a Trident C-4 missile. Florida went on to complete 61 strategic deterrent patrols and win multiple awards. In 2003, she underwent a refueling and conversion from an SSBN to an SSGN and was homeported in Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. In 2011, she was involved in Operation Odyssey Dawn, firing 93 Tomahawk missiles. This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of naval history. Order now!
