WWI Patches

World War I patches connect unit identity and a personal service or collecting interest. Explore the available designs to find the organization, aircraft, ship or remembered assignment that matters to your collection.

World War I patches: design and selection

Build a First World War-themed insignia collection using the exact unit identity and design. Check individual listings to understand the product offered; a historical design does not itself establish that an item is an original wartime artifact.

• Read the full unit, aircraft or ship designation.
• Compare listed dimensions, construction and backing.
• Review the photographs for the exact artwork and wording.

A collection can be organized around an assignment, a particular aircraft or ship, or a series of related unit emblems. Use the wording and artwork to build that connection deliberately. Similar nicknames, colors or silhouettes do not necessarily identify the same organization or period.

Compare the individual product details

Attachment options vary by product. A removable hook-and-loop version is different from a sew-on or iron-on patch, so use the individual listing rather than the category name to identify the backing. For a gift or display grouping, the precise unit and design often matter as much as the overall subject. Explore the related patches collection for additional designs.
