VMM-265, also known as Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, is a United States Marine Corps assault support transport squadron. They operate MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft. The squadron, nicknamed the “Dragons,” is based at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma in Okinawa, Japan. Their mission is to provide assault support transport for combat troops, supplies, and equipment during expeditionary, joint, or combined operations. They are prepared for short-notice, worldwide deployment in support of Marine Air-Ground Task Force operations
