The USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) is a Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship of the United States Navy. It was named after Carter Hall, an estate near Winchester, Virginia, built in the 1790s. The ship was laid down on November 11, 1991, launched on October 2, 1993, and commissioned on September 30, 1995.
The primary mission of the LSD-50 is to transport and launch amphibious craft, vehicles, crews, and embarked personnel in an amphibious assault. It can also provide limited docking and repair services to small ships and craft.
