A-3 Skywarrior Killer Whale Plaque

Collect the perfect wall piece dedicated to the A-3 or otherwise known as “Killer Whale”. Each plaque is solid wood and hand painted. It measures 14 inches.

The Douglas A-3 Skywarrior was designated A3D with the U.S. Navy until 18 September 1962 when, with the introduction of the Tri-Service aircraft designation system, all Skywarriors still in service were redesignated A-3. It was the heaviest aircraft to fly from an aircraft carrier which earned its name the “Whale”. It is one of only two aircraft considered a strategic bomber that flew off a carrier.
