Regarding the Crest and motto:
“KEITOU KALAWACA NA WASALIWA” is Fijian for “We span the Oceans.” The squadron crest and aircraft tail has the Royal Albatross on it. (In case that informs your painting of the crest and aircraft decal).

Incidentally; The motto comes from the WWII days, where No. 5 SQN was based in Luthala Bay in Fiji, which was an allied forward operating base, used by New Zealand during the US-Japan Battle of the Pacific. Kiwi crews from No. 5 would patrol the ocean approaches for Japanese submarines, and being flying boats, would land if needed to recover downed American fighter pilots. They also did a lot of marlin fishing.
Royal albatross chicks leave their colony in the South Island at 1 year old, and are known to remain at sea continuously for upwards of five years. They’ll travel all the way to South East Asia, Alaska, and the lower 48 before returning to NZ). NZ has the world’s largest SAR Region and fourth largest EEZ, 92 % of which is ocean. Hence, “we span the oceans”. (A bit of useless trivia for bingo night).
